Sorry Abs – this is not going to be a Jekyll & Hyde review….. 
Last night was week 4 of our post-Alpha ‘Life Worth Living’ course held in a lovely local pub down the road from my flat.
We had a ministry time at the end and the Holy Spirit showed up and met with these hungry new Christians as we prayed for them and tried to encourage them by telling them what gifts we saw God had put in them.
It was such an amazing privilege and as we decamped downstairs for the customary nightcap – I was yet again blown away by the way God has woo-ed these guys to himself – slowly, gently knocking on their hearts till they surrendered to him and his plan for their lives. I felt so alive as I chatted to them – excited by how Jesus has brought them home and fired them up to tell others and do the stuff of the Kingdom – binding up the broken hearts, serving the poor, bringing light into this dark and wounded world.
The main part of the night’s talk was that it was possible to have a saved soul but a wasted life….
I want my life to have counted… do you?!
